Overview

The Business Innovation Stream — Individuals must pass a points test, have a successful business career with a business turnover and net assets at required amount. They must also obtain and maintain substantial ownership and management of an Australian business and meet the residency requirement.

Investment Requirements:

To obtain a 188B visa, you need to meet the following requirements: 

 

1. No less than AUD 2.75 million household net worth in the past 2 fiscal years. 

2. At least 3 years of successful investment. Owned more than 10% of the business in one of the past five years, or had a market value of AUD 2.5 million. Making more than $1 million profit through these business or investments.  

3. Scoring 65 and higher in EOI System. 

4. Investing AUD $2.5 in compliance investment (private equity fund/equity fund/other corporate bond funds)
